How I Quit Lead Groups and Built a Private Amazon A2A System That Finds Deals 24/7

June 26, 202610 min read

I quit lead groups for A2A completely. Our results went up. In this post I am going to show you exactly why, and the private system I built inside ProfitPath that now finds A2A deals across the UK and Europe around the clock without me having to search for them.

A2A arbitrage means buying a product on one Amazon marketplace and selling it on another at a higher price, or catching a price drop and flipping it on the same marketplace when the price recovers. The problem is not the strategy. The problem is using lead groups to find deals. By the time a deal lands in your group, hundreds of other sellers have already seen it. ProfitPath's A2A Search builds you a private alert system based entirely on your own parameters so the deals come to you before anyone else.

What is Amazon A2A Arbitrage and Why Most People Get It Wrong

A2A is Amazon to Amazon. The concept is straightforward. You find a product priced lower on one Amazon marketplace and sell it for a higher price on another. Germany to UK. Spain to Italy. UK to UK when a price drops and you catch the recovery. Any combination works.

The concept is simple. The execution is where most sellers fall apart.

The A2A Search feeds live deal opportunities straight to your screen based on your parameters. These are not shared with anyone else in the platform.

And it always comes back to the same question: where are you getting your deals from?

Here is what actually happens in a lead group. Someone finds a deal, or a bot does. It gets shared. Within an hour, potentially hundreds of sellers have seen it. They all buy in. The listing fills up. The price tanks. You are holding stock you cannot shift.

I bought 36 units of a product once. It had nine sellers on the listing. Three pounds profit per unit. 1,000 sales a month. One week later, 263 sellers were on the listing. The price dropped below my cost price. I held for two months to get my £3 per unit. That is not a strategy. That is gambling with your cash flow.

By the time a deal lands in your lead group, you were never going to win that race.

And the part that really gets me: you paid for the service. You paid to queue up with everyone else and fight over the same leftover deals.

Why Lead Groups Are a Losing Game for A2A Sellers

Lead groups work on a simple, broken model. A deal is found and shared. The more people in the group, the faster the listing fills. The faster the listing fills, the faster the price tanks.

You are either first or last. You do not want to be in the middle paying Amazon fees while you wait for the price to recover.

Ricky Martin explaining how Amazon lead groups tank prices using a real A2A example
A real lead group deal: 36 units bought at £3 profit each. Within a week, 263 sellers had entered the listing and the price dropped below cost price.

The bigger the group, the worse the problem. A group with 500 sellers seeing the same deal at the same time is not a sourcing tool. It is a race you cannot win unless you are automated, first, and lucky.

There is a better way, and it does not involve sharing your deals with anyone.

How ProfitPath A2A Search Works

This is the A2A Search inside ProfitPath. It runs constantly. It is scanning Amazon marketplaces and surfacing products where a price gap exists between buy price and sell price, filtered to your exact criteria.

ProfitPath A2A Search showing live cross-marketplace deal results updating in real time with margin and profit data
The A2A Search runs continuously. Products ping through as they match your parameters, buy region, sell region, margin, deal type. No manual searching required.

You set your buy regions and sell regions. You set your minimum margin, minimum profit, minimum sales. You choose the deal type: normal deals, business deals, coupon deals. You choose your minimum number of offers to filter out private label. You set your minimum rating. You apply your blacklist.

And then it runs. All the time.

Here is a real example from the video. A product came through on UK to UK. A 68% discount. Buy it for roughly £10. Sell it for potentially £30. Eight pound profit. 27% margin. Amazon on the buy box. Consistent Keepa chart with a clean price drop. Six to nine units picked up on the spot.

That deal was matched to my criteria. Nobody else was seeing that exact alert.

That is the difference between a lead group and a private deal system.

Setting Up Your A2A Filters and Parameters

Getting the settings right is where you build your edge. Here is how to think through each one.

Set the global settings once and every result across the platform is automatically calibrated to your actual costs. Prep fee, shipping, VAT status all in one place.

Global settings: Set these to match your business. Current price or 30/60/90-day average. Buy box price or overall price. Your prep fee. Your shipping costs. Any miscellaneous prep charges like poly bagging.

Individual settings: FBA or FBM. Whether you want to see variations. Confirmed sales or mixed. Oversized products or not.

Minimum margin: Go slightly under your target. If you want 12%, set it to 10% and make the call yourself when something comes up at 11%. You will miss good deals by being too tight on this number.

Deal type: Normal, business, or coupon. Coupon deals are worth experimenting with. Business deals can give you access to bulk pricing that retail buyers cannot see.

Minimum offers: Setting a floor here filters out most private label. If a listing only has one or two sellers, the risk of IP complaints goes up. Three or more is a reasonable starting point.

Blacklist: Add any brand you have had a problem with. Any ASIN that keeps coming up and wasting your time. The longer you use the tool, the cleaner your results get. The blacklist compounds. This is one of the most powerful things you can do in the first few weeks.

The Alert System: How Deals Come to You Instead of You Chasing Them

This is where ProfitPath A2A goes to another level. You can set up to 10 private alert groups. Each one runs based on a different set of parameters. And every deal that matches those parameters goes straight to your own Discord server.

ProfitPath A2A alert setup screen showing buy regions, sell regions, minimum margin, and deal type filters for private A2A alerts
Each private alert group runs independently. Set up to 10 groups with different parameters: UK to UK, EU cross-market, coupon deals, all pinging to your own Discord server.

Not a shared group. Not a public channel. Your server. Your alerts. Just you and your team.

Here is how to set one up:

  1. Go to A2A Search and click Alerts

  2. Create a new group, set it to private

  3. Name it something you will recognize

  4. Choose your buy regions and sell regions

  5. Set minimum sales, minimum margin, minimum profit

  6. Choose your deal type

  7. Set minimum offers and minimum rating

  8. Click create

That group is now running. Within the next hour, deals that match those parameters start arriving in your Discord server.

Setting up a Discord server takes about two minutes. Click Create My Own. Click For Me and My Friends. Name it. Done. Then connect it to ProfitPath in the integrations section and every alert you create flows straight there.

Creating a private Discord server takes about two minutes. Once connected to ProfitPath, every alert you set fires straight to your server: on your phone, your computer, around the clock.

You can check it on your phone. You can wake up and buy something before you have had a coffee. The deals come to you while you sleep, while you are sourcing other ways, while you are doing anything else entirely.

Real Deals From the Video

Here are two examples pulled straight from the live session in the video.

Deal 1: UK to UK flip A product came through at a 68% discount. Buy price approximately £10. Potential sell price around £30. Eight pound profit. 27% margin. Amazon were on the buy box but only held 19% of it. The Keepa chart showed a consistent price with a clean temporary drop. Six to nine units picked up during the recording.

Deal 2: Germany to France cross-market A product flagged as a potential Germany to France flip. One seller on the listing, which was Amazon. The markup was enormous. Stayed away from it because a single-seller listing from the brand itself raises IP risk. The filter caught it. The analysis took 30 seconds to reject it and move on.

This is the workflow: ping arrives, quick look, buy or move on. That is it. You are not spending three hours manually hunting. You are making fast decisions on deals that already meet your criteria.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Amazon A2A arbitrage?

A2A stands for Amazon to Amazon. You buy a product on one Amazon marketplace where the price is temporarily lower and sell it on another where the price is higher, or you catch a price drop on the same marketplace and flip it when the price recovers. It works because Amazon processes millions of price changes daily and short-term pricing gaps open up regularly across marketplaces.

Is Amazon A2A arbitrage legal?

Yes. You are buying a product legitimately and reselling it, which is standard arbitrage. It is not dropshipping. You take ownership of the stock. The key things to check are IP restrictions, product condition, and that you can actually sell the product on your account before you buy it.

Why are lead groups bad for A2A?

By the time a deal arrives in a lead group, it has already been seen by everyone else in that group. With hundreds of sellers buying the same product at the same time, the listing fills up and the price tanks. You end up holding stock at a cost price higher than what you can sell it for. Lead groups are not a strategy. They are a race where you are always starting late.

How many alert groups can I set up in ProfitPath?

You can set up to 10 private alert groups inside ProfitPath's A2A Search. Each group runs independently with its own buy regions, sell regions, margin thresholds, deal types, and filters. This means you can have entirely different parameters running at the same time for different markets and strategies.

Can I use ProfitPath A2A alerts on my phone?

Yes. Once you have connected ProfitPath to your own Discord server, the alerts arrive in that server in real time. You can check Discord on your phone the same as on a computer. A deal that fires at 6am shows up before you have had a coffee.

What filters should I set on my A2A alerts?

Start with your buy regions (where you will buy) and sell regions (where you will sell). Set minimum sales around 20 to 30 per month as a starting point. Set minimum margin slightly under your actual target so you can make judgment calls on deals that are close. Minimum offers of three or more filters out most private label risk. Minimum seller rating of four. Adjust from there based on what comes through in the first week.

How does this connect to the Deal Watch feature?

Deal Watch takes A2A one step further. Instead of scanning all of Amazon for deals that match your parameters, you load specific ASINs you already know and trust, and Deal Watch monitors those specific products across all marketplaces and stores. That is Episode 5 of this series. Connecting Deal Watch to your Discord alongside A2A alerts is how you build a system that runs all day, every day, without you needing to be at your desk.

How much does ProfitPath cost?
